SciEd Web Share, Molecule Sharing System
SciEd Web Share is a companion to Clone Manager and is a locally hosted implementation of the Clone
Share system used to facilitate molecule sharing across your network.
It is installed on a central server and runs as a web server using standard HTTP,
or HTTPS, protocols to allow Clone Manager 11 or 12 clients to load, save and share molecules.
Sharing Features
- Administer SciEd Web Share configuration through a simple web interface
- Define top level named shares to provide separate data storage for different groups
- Optionally set who can read molecules and who can update molecules in each share
- Organize the content of a named share into folders and molecules
- Give molecules, and folders, a label that can be descriptive of the purpose
- Move molecules and folders when you need to reorganize within a share
- Use molecules in Clone Manager operations including, viewing, cloning, searching, aligning etc.
Requirements

The SciEd Web Share system is written to place minimal demands on the host computer and
is cross platform compatible. Any reasonably modern computer can run it as a shared resource.

Recommend using a web server to host the SciEd Web Share web service (see installation
instructions for more details for installing on Windows, MacOS, Linux)
- Internet connection for license activation required if not installing with a Clone Manager concurrent license
- Clients running Clone Manager version 11 or newer
